ABOUT US
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that the Bible (which consists of the Old and New Testaments) in the original texts is the verbally inspired, inerrant Word of God. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and the only unfailing guide for faith and practice of the Christian life. (Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4 and 1:21)
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on a cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal, imminent return. (Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; Mark 16:19; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-2, 8:58 and 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 1:2; Revelation 1:8)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit; that He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and that He indwells all believers, and thus enables and empowers the life and ministry of the believer. (Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 16:8-11; Romans 8:26 and 15:13,16; Hebrews 9:14)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted two ordinances for the church; water baptism of believers in the gospel and the Lord’s Supper (or communion). (Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
We believe in one God, creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are co-eternal and of equal dignity and power. We believe that He mercifully concerns Himself with the affairs of mankind and saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalms 90:2; Psalms 102:27; John 3:16 and 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3; Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8 and 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3)
We believe that man was created by and for God; that by man’s disobeying God, every person incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God, and physical death as a consequence; and that all people are sinners by nature and practice. We believe in the Gospel that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who believe in and trust Him in faith for salvation are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and are, therefore, in the right relationship with God. (Romans 3:23; Acts 3:19 and 20:21; Ephesians 2:1-3 and 2:8-9; 1 John 2:2; John 3:16; Matthew 11:28; Revelation 22:17)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of everyone who has lived, the everlasting blessedness of those in right relationship with God, and the eternal separation of those who have rejected God’s gift of salvation and forgiveness in His Son. (Psalm 9:17; Matthew 5:3, 5:22, 18:9 and 25:31-34; Mark 9:42-49; Luke 12:5; John 3:18; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Peter 1:4; Revelation 14:10-11 and 20:11-15)
MEET OUR PASTOR
GREG DRIVER
Greg Driver is the Pastor of Faith Bible Fellowship. Greg’s story is one of obedience, perseverance, and faith. He is a dynamic teacher of the truth of the Bible, verse by verse.
Greg grew up in a divorced home. His mother and father separated when he was 12, and he gravitated toward a life of trouble. Before long, he was involved with drugs, theft, and various other bad behaviors. At 15, Greg was in the custody of juvenile authorities, and after being in and out of court on several occasions, a judge was ready to commit Greg to a detention facility. The night before the court hearing, Greg found himself on the floor begging for God's mercy and grace.
The next day, in a strange turn of events, the judge unexpectedly granted Greg leniency. Within two weeks, the Lord connected Greg with a young lady who would eventually become God’s instrument to bring spiritual change into Greg's life. The young lady invited him to church, and within a year, Greg had given his life to Jesus.
His conversion was dramatic. He began to receive invitations to give his testimony to youth groups around middle Tennessee. At 18 years old, Greg sensed God’s call to the ministry. He got married and earned a college degree. While in college, Greg began to preach and speak at every available opportunity. After several years of lay preaching, God once again moved in his life to introduce him to verse-by-verse expository teaching. He has been teaching and preaching the Scriptures ever since.
Along the way, Greg came across Pastor Stephen Armstrong’s teaching and instantly recognized Pastor Armstrong was gifted to bring unique clarity to the Bible.
Greg possesses a burning desire to see God's word elevated into the mainstream of every Christian community, and for that reason, he is honored to be part of Verse By Verse Ministry International.Greg is the pastor of Faith Bible Fellowship in Tullahoma, Tennessee. He serves with his wife of 27 years, Daffney, and two wonderful children, Montana and Carolyna. Greg also owns a construction company with over 100 employees.
